Transfering your website to Polar55 can be done in a few simple steps.
First, you need to order a web hosting service with the transfer of your domain. If you have multiple domains that you want on the same account, these can be transferred or created afterward. Always start by moving one domain. If you already have a web hosting service, simply log in and order the transfer of your foreign domain.
When you initiate the transfer and complete the payment, the following steps occur:
- Your web hosting service is set up (if you don't already have one) and prepared for the domain you have transferred to us.
- The payer information for your domain is changed to us, allowing you to renew it through us in the future.
Similar to the process with .dk domains, please note that the nameservers/DNS are not automatically changed during the transfer. You can move your website, including traffic and emails, to us before pointing the domain to us. For example, refer to this video that demonstrates how to easily move a WordPress site.
After transfering your website (if applicable) and when you are ready to use your web hosting service with us for emails and the website, you should change the nameservers. Here's how.
After changing the nameservers, it may take up to 24 hours before your domain points to us instead of your previous provider. You have now completed the transfer to us.
